Coconut oil have its unusual composition of naturally occurring lipids, coconut oil may be beneficially used in the treatment of skin conditions. 7. Create your own homemade lip gloss
You can protect your lips from becoming dry and flaky with a DIY coloured gloss made from coconut oil, and you can even use it to add a splash of colour to your pout. Simply combine shards of an old lipstick with a little amount of coconut oil to produce it.
8. Freshen your breath
Remember oil pulling? A review of research published in the Journal of Traditional and Complementary Medicine says that swishing coconut oil (or any organic vegetable cooking oil) around in your mouth may actually pull disease-causing bacteria out of your mouth. Researchers write that oil pulling makes antioxidants that damage the cell walls of microorganisms and kill them. Just swirl it around in your mouth for 10 to 20 minutes before breakfast, until it turns a milky white colour. Then spit it out into the trash (not the sink, because it can clog the pipes) and rinse with water. Just remember that oil pulling shouldn’t take the place of brushing and flossing your teeth every day.
9. Show off your cheeks.
A little highlighter is the best way to wake up a tired face. Just brush a little bit of organic coconut oil over your makeup and leave it alone.
